What impact do preventativemeasures have on thehealth budget?
Muscle and skeletal disorders costs the Norwegian society 85 billion each year. Preventive solutions enhance quality of life and saves costs. The greatest potential for improvements is within the older patient group.
“Samhandlingsreformen”puts extra pressure on local authorities to improve elderly people''''''''''''''''s functional ability so that they can manage at home longer.Lørenskog nursing home highlights the challenge they meet.
The research-intensive company Redcord, have a solution for the treatment of muscle and disorders through the Neurac method (Neuromuscular Activation), but works also preventative. Redcord have learned the importance of R& D for the development of good solutions. Through 20 years Redcord developed new methods and products to
a "red thread” between the physical and medical therapy and professional guided self-training.
Finally, it is important to innovate in both good times and bad. There are available funds in the OFU/IFU. See also www.innovasjonnorge.no/finansiering/ifuofu

called Neurac (Neuromuscular Activation). Neurac aims at stimulating deactivated and weak muscles, restoring normal function and reducing the strain on other muscles. The treatment consists of specially tailored exercises and techniques in Redcord slings, and has proven to give immediate and long time results for many musculoskeletal disorders. Based on this treatment method Redcord has also developed an effective concept for functional training using suspension and slings.
