OstomyCure wins ‘Peoples prize’ and 3rd prize in DnBNORs Innovasjonspris 2010
Wednesday September 15th, the Oslo Medtech member OstomyCure won the peoples prize and 3rd prize in DnBNORs Innovasjonspris 2010. Oslo Medtech congratulates!!
OstomyCure won altogether 150.000 NOK.
We asked Johan Gjesdal, chairman of OstomyCure, why he thinks OstomyCure won the prize of the people.
"I believe OstomyCure won the peoples price because I think all of us can imagine how we would react if we were told that we would have to use stoma bags for the rest of our lives. OstomyCure is unique in that the company has come far in developing a solution that lets this large patient group lead a stoma bag-free life. That way, OstomyCure can change the lives of hundreds of thousand people. In addition, OstomyCure has a sound business model that consists of selling both the implant and then the necessary "consumables" thereafter, most importantly the lid"
