New Regulation on Electronic Patient Journals

The Ministry of Health and Care Services released Friday June 24th a new Regulation on Security around Electronic Patient Journals and other Health Registers. The new regulation shall provide enhanced security around the Electronic Patient Journals and other Health registers and regulate access to health information.

The Ministry of Health and Care Services released Friday June 24th a new Regulation on Security around Electronic Patient Journals and other Health Registers.

The new regulation shall provide enhanced security around Electronic Patient Journals, Privacy Policy and other Health Registers, and regulate access to health information. At the same time the regulation shall work as a fundament for the health care sector, so that they can provide their services with quality and efficiency.
 
- This is an important step on the road to better electronic cooperation between the different services in the Health Care Sector, says the Minister for Health and Care services, Anne-Grete Strøm-Erichsen.
