The active innovator and founder Eirik Næss-Ulseth has been awarded the prestigious Oslo Innovation Award. Næss-Ulseth, is one of the major driving forces in the Norwegian life science. He received the award for his many achievements. He has been strongly involved in the development of PubGene Inc., Biomolex AS, sperm tech AS RheumaTech AS, Ideas ASA, IPnett AS GetMedic AS and the latest Novelda. Eirik Næss-Ulseth is a director of Oslo medtech.
Changetech has signed an agreement with SOS International AS, Scandinavia's leading assistance organization. The agreement establishes a partnership where SOS International A/S actively will sell Changetech Personal Change Psychology Programmes to insurance companies and large corporations.
Nemko signs agreement with VTT in Finland within the medtech area. VTT is also a Notified Body (Teknisk Kontrollorgan) for In Vitro Directive (IVD). In Norway, there is no Notified Body for the In Vitro Directives. Norwegian producers of IVT equipment can now access this through Nemko. The United States’ Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has delivered on its promise to issue guidelines this year regarding “medical apps” that are being developed and issued daily across the United States and across the world. A press release regarding the Draft Guidance for Industry and Food and Drug Administration Staff—Mobile Medical Applications was posted on 19 July 2011 and the proposed regulations can be found in their entirety here.
