Adaptable keys medlem av Oslo Medtech

Adaptable Keys a/s

Our Project has developed a new way of making input on the computer keyboard. The solution consists of two hand controllers which interact with a virtual keyboard in lower part of the screen through interface electronics for joystick. Keys are moved to the fingers versus the traditional way –fingers moved to the keyboard. A complete keyboard and mouse solution! The way to use this keyboard is recognizable in comparison to the traditional horizontal keyboard, and therefore intuitively quick to adopt. The user does not need to look at the finger keys and will just relate to the activity on the integrated keyboard.

We have built two prototypes so far, and our experience is that this is an intuitive and fast keyboard solution -on muscular premises. The most important quality of this writing tool is the ability to choose a free typing position when user types on the keys! This means that hands and arms can be placed in the position and angle that is most comfortable for the user, as opposed to the traditional keyboard which requires a rigid posture.

The project intends to conduct a scientific comparative research between the traditional keyboard and our design, followed by a clinical study. The project receives support from Innovation Norway and NAVCentre forfacilitationand participation.

   VoluSense AS
VoluSense is a medical device company focused on pulmonary health.
We aim to set new standards in tidal breathing measurement, based on non-invasive and mask free technologies. Our first products are designed to evaluate breathing function in neonates in a hospital setting, based on a bedside monitoring device and a wrap-around sensor.

The respiratory system is poorly developed at birth especially in preterm infants. Despite advances in the management of these babies, respiratory failure remains a primary cause of morbidity and mortality. One hurdle towards improving respiratory care is a lack of lung function evaluation tools that are appropriate for babies. Our products have been developed to assist neonatologists and pediatricians in pulmonary function evaluation. They are useful to evaluate the need and efficacy of interventions such as mechanical ventilation or cpap, and of medications such as bronchodilators, diuretics or other drugs. Our instruments provide real-time information on tidal flow, tidal volume, respiration frequency and thoraco-abdominal asynchrony.
